Venture capital is an alternative source of funding and capital investment. It is usually provided to early-stage, innovative, high-potential business.
The venture capital fund makes money by owning equity in the companies it invests in. Fund investors, for the most part, actively participate in companies’ activities and help it grow and expand.
Currently, venture capital funds Baltic Innovation Fund, Co-investment Fund I, Co-investment Fund II and Early Stage and Development Fund I are being implemented. Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises can apply fo the following venture capital fund managers: BaltCap, Livonia Partners, BPM Mezzanine, Karma Ventures, UAB Kofinansavimas and Open Circle Capital.
Other venture capital instruments are under development and do not provide the investment services.
