On 16 January, 2015, Audrius Zabotka, Director General of UAB Investicijų ir Verslo Garantijos (INVEGA), and Kęstutis Jucevičius, Director of the Financial Crime Investigation Service under the Ministry of the Interior (FCIS), signed a cooperation agreement to ensure more efficient supervision of the risk assessment of small and medium-sized business (SME) projects related to the illegal receipt and use of EU financial support and prevention of money laundering and/or terrorist financing.

Under the agreement, both institutions agreed to exchange information on any violations of the legislation regulating the prevention of fraud and terrorist financing detected in the SME activities during the SME project risk assessment and suspected criminal acts in implementing the financial instruments from the EU Investment Funds during the 2014–2020 period. It is hoped that the cooperation agreement will help prevent financial crime.
