EIB and Invega team up for European Investment Advisory Hub

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Lithuanian National Promotional Institution Invega has been signed in Luxembourg. The MoU marks the start of cooperation in the context of the European Investment Advisory Hub (EIAH or the Hub) which offers advisory and technical assistance services for investment projects in the EU.

Under this MoU, Invega confirms its willingness to participate in knowledge and best practice sharing initiatives in areas relevant to the scope of EIAH’s activities and to explore the possibility to deliver services in Lithuania on the behalf of Hub. The cooperation further establishes the possibility for Invega to act as a national point of entry to the Hub for potential clients and stakeholders.

Audrius Zabotka, CEO of Invega, added: “Invega is glad to commence cooperation with the EIB in the framework of the European Investment Advisory Hub. This European initiative is one of the important tools which aim is to further promote investments as well as strengthen business environment in the entire European Union.”

The European Investment Advisory Hub is one of the windows of the Investment Plan for Europe, an initiative by the European Commission and the EIB which aims to revive investment in strategic projects around Europe. The EIAH seeks to strengthen Europe’s investment and business environment by enhancing the technical and financial capacity of public authorities and private actors in the Member States to identify, prioritise, prepare, structure, aggregate and implement strategic projects.

In the context of the European Investment Advisory Hub, similar MoUs will be signed in the following months between the EIB and other National Promotional Institutions (Banks).
